Quality & Standards

Excellence in Standards. Integrity in Assessment. Confidence in Achievement.

UKSEQ is developing a comprehensive quality assurance framework designed to support the integrity, consistency and credibility of the qualifications we intend to offer.

UKSEQ Ltd is not currently recognised by Ofqual or Qualifications Wales and does not presently offer regulated qualifications. Our proposed qualification and quality assurance arrangements remain under development and will be subject to appropriate review, testing and approval before implementation.

Our Commitment to Quality

Quality is not simply a final check. It must be embedded throughout the qualification lifecycle, from initial development and centre approval through to assessment, quality assurance and certification.

Our quality framework is being designed around six core commitments, each reflecting the standards expected of a responsible and independent awarding organisation.

Every qualification should represent genuine knowledge, demonstrable skills and verified achievement.

Learner-centred design

Putting Learners First

The interests of learners must remain central to the design and operation of a credible qualifications system. UKSEQ is developing policies and procedures intended to protect learners, promote fair access and provide clear routes for raising concerns.

Equality and Accessibility

Supporting fair access to qualifications and appropriate reasonable adjustments, while preserving the competence standards that qualifications are designed to assess.

Clear Information

Providing accurate and accessible information about qualification requirements, assessment processes, fees where applicable, and learner responsibilities.

Complaints and Appeals

Establishing transparent processes through which learners and centres can raise concerns, challenge relevant decisions and receive fair consideration.

Safeguarding and Wellbeing

Promoting appropriate safeguarding practices and clear responsibilities for organisations working with children, young people and adults at risk.

Learner Protection

Developing arrangements to manage disruption, centre withdrawal, qualification changes and other circumstances that may affect a learner's ability to complete a qualification.

Data Protection

Protecting personal information through appropriate security, access controls, retention arrangements and compliance with applicable data protection legislation.

Working Towards Recognition

UKSEQ Ltd is developing its awarding organisation operations with the intention of applying for recognition by Ofqual in England and Qualifications Wales in Wales.

Our development programme includes the establishment of organisational governance, financial and operational arrangements, qualification development processes, assessment controls and quality assurance systems.

We recognise that regulatory recognition carries significant responsibilities and that confidence in qualifications must be supported by demonstrable competence, effective controls and ongoing accountability.

“Our promise is simple: to place integrity at the heart of qualifications and confidence at the heart of achievement.”

Setting Standards. Recognising Achievement.
